N65\u00b019.24-W15\u00b023.52<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hl\u00ed\u00f0arendi was built in 1853 on land which had belonged to the Arn\u00f3rssta\u00f0ir estate and stood near the ruins of that farms \u0301s ancient summer outpost, 6 km northwest of \u00c1rm\u00f3tasel. The first inhabitants were Gu\u00f0r\u00fan L\u00e1ra, daughter of \u00de\u00f3r\u00f0ur, farmer at Staffell; and J\u00f3n, son of the farmer Stef\u00e1n at Eyvindar\u00e1. Hl\u00ed\u00f0arendi changed hands frequently, and sometimes even had two proprietors at the same time. In 1872 the farm was permanently abandoned.<\/p>\n
