Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are possible from the skiing area and from the Fjardarheidi heath far into the summer. There is good access\u00a0for snowmobile from Stafdalur\u00a0to the magnificent East fjords mountains, deserted fjords and to the famous Dyrfj\u00f6ll.
