\u00deerribjarg (Therribjarg) (N65\u00b045.336-W14\u00b020.990) \/\/ Difficult \/\/ 5 – 6 hrs<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00deerribjarg is one of the 30 Pearls of Egilssta\u00f0ir region and refers to some of the most stunning hikes of the area.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Drive the main road up Hellishei\u00f0i mountain and when you\u2019ve reached where you are about the highest part, take a trail to the right. There\u00a0is a sign where you can park your car and start\u00a0the hike. The trail is staked to the edge of the cliffs above M\u00falah\u00f6fn harbour. From there (65\u00b045.144 – W14\u00b021.964) lies a trail below the edge, down a rocky slope to M\u00falah\u00f6fn, one of natures\u2019 masterpieces surrounded by cliffs and huge pillars of rock on two sides.<\/span><\/span>
This harbour was declared an official trading harbour in 1890 but was only used once as such because of the\u00a0extreme difficulties of further transport.\u00a0From the harbour, walk north to the outer point.<\/span>
From there one can see \u00deerribjarg and Langisandur shore. The cylinder with the visitors\u2019 log and stamp is by the trail leading down to the beach.<\/span>
Hikers are encouraged to go down and walk along the sand under \u00deerribjarg cliffs before turning back.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
