Park your car at the crossroads to Hnefilsdalur.\u00a0Walk\u00a0through a marked gate and follow the staked\u00a0hikingtrail up along the river Sau\u00f0\u00e1 up\u00a0to the edge of the slope to the stone wall or fence. Follow the fence until you\u2019ve reached the cylinder with the visitors\u2019 log and stamp.<br \/> Keep on towards\u00a0the river\u00a0Teigar\u00e1 to the cairn and then walk back for a bit down a staked horseriding trail through\u00a0a beautiful\u00a0creek.
