Hengifoss guesthouse

Hengifoss guesthouse is a family-run guesthouse in scenic surroundings in East Iceland. It was established in 2009, by two local farmers, Josef Valgarð (Valli) and Helga, who are also the hosts. They do their utmost to show you the hospitality Icelandic farmers are famous for.
Valli and his family lives on the other side of the valley, at a farm called Víðivellir fremri, where he raises sheep, horses and hens. Helga and her husband’s farm is on the same side as the guesthouse, just one farm away.

Hengifoss guesthose offers accommodation, breakfast and dinner (if ordered in advance), as well as offering a well equiped camping side with good facilities for caravans.

We are located near Végarður, in Fljótsdalur above inland from Egilsstaðir, on road 933, only 30 km from the ring road. We are connected by paved road. Our GPS coordinates are 65° 1,569′N, 14° 58,302 ‘W
The guesthouse is open 15 January to 15 December .
The guethouse was previously known as Fljotsdalsground Guesthouse .
